Welcome! I'm Tanisha Leathers, a wife, mother of two, and passionate advocate for mothers. I hold a master's in nursing from UCLA and completed my lactation training at UC San Diego.
My journey into women's health began unexpectedly in 2008 when I assisted a friend during her home birth. That experience sparked my passion for supporting women through their pre and postnatal journey, leading me to become a perinatal registered nurse.
My own experience as a mother of two children born 11 months apart (at ages 36 and 37) further fueled my commitment to normalizing the parenting journey. It also highlighted the critical need for ongoing support during the fourth trimester, inspiring me to become a lactation consultant.
As a board-certified lactation consultant, I'm dedicated to providing comprehensive support to new mothers. I believe in embracing each individual's journey and working together to overcome challenges.
My goal is to ensure that every mother I serve knows she's not alone. At Hand-in-Hand, we'll walk this path together, because I firmly believe that hand in hand, we can accomplish anything.
